Identification
Bring an unexpired government-issued photo ID. Ask ahead if you are unsure whether it is acceptable.
Every signer
All required signers must be present, willing, aware, and able to communicate directly with the notary.

Documents Commonly Notarized Before Recording
Certain documents must be notarized before they are presented to the Clark County Recorder. Clark County identifies the following as examples. The Clark County Recorder’s Office does not provide notary services or have notaries on site.

- Judgment — certified court copy may be accepted
- Satisfaction of Judgment — certified court copy may be accepted

Recording Categories Listed in NRS 247.120
NRS 247.120 identifies categories of documents that Nevada county recorders record. Inclusion in this statutory list does not, by itself, mean that every document in every category always requires notarization. Recording and notarial requirements depend on the document and applicable law.
- Deeds, grants, patents issued by Nevada or the United States, real-estate transfers and mortgages, releases of real-estate mortgages, powers of attorney to convey real estate, and acknowledged or proved real-estate leases
- Certificates of marriage and marriage contracts
- Wills admitted to probate
- Official bonds
- Notices of mechanics’ liens
- Transcripts of judgments that become liens upon real estate and affidavits renewing those judgments
- Notices of attachment upon real estate
- Notices of pending actions affecting real estate, its title, or possession
- Instruments describing or relating to the separate property of married persons

Declaration of Homestead Resources
Clark County instructs property owners to complete the Declaration of Homestead, sign it in the presence of a Notary Public, and submit it to the Clark County Recorder. Sin City Signings can notarize signatures on a completed, customer-provided declaration when appropriate.
Sin City Signings cannot prepare the declaration, determine whether it is appropriate for a customer, supply or verify a legal description, explain its legal protections, select a notarial certificate, record the document, or provide legal advice.
Sin City Signings can perform an appropriate notarial act on a completed, customer-provided document when the requested notarial act or certificate has been identified. A Nevada Notary Public is not an attorney and cannot prepare or interpret documents, select a notarial certificate, determine whether a document is legally sufficient or recordable, or provide legal advice.
